Georgia Oil and Gas Limited (GOGL) has expanded its exploration acreage through the execution of the North Samgori XIQ License area. This newly acquired area consolidates several smaller exploration license areas where GOGL has been conducting extensive studies over the past seven years.
The combined block covers 1,246 km² and includes the Martkopi Terrace priority project, along with Norio Deep, Martkopi Deep, and other prospects – a total of 14 identified structures.
This enlarged portfolio diversifies geological targets, increases exposure to multiple proven petroleum systems, and strengthens GOGL’s long-term position within Georgia’s upstream energy sector.
