Georgia Oil and Gas has contracted PanTerra Geoconsultants B.V. to conduct preliminary study of Samgori Geothermal Energy Potential, which reviled that Middle Eocene fields have good potential for geothermal heat production:

–For one doublet, 2–18 MW of heat power

–For full-field scale, 250–400 MW of heat power

Samgori, Patardzeuli, & Ninotsminda Middle Eocene fields and future Field Development Program can play a reasonable role in energy transition of Georgia from Oil and Gas to Renewables.
